We begin processing orders quickly, so changes or cancellations aren't always possible once an order has been placed. Contact us at admin@redbirdrd.com within 30 minutes of placing the order and we'll do our best to help.
What does "Ships Directly From the Designer" mean?
Some pieces in our collection are fulfilled and shipped directly by the independent designer or brand that created them. This allows us to offer a wider selection of thoughtfully curated pieces without compromising what makes Red Bird Road special.
Will my entire order arrive together?
Not always. If your order includes both Red Bird Road inventory and items shipped directly from one of our designer partners, your order may arrive in separate packages. You'll receive tracking information for each shipment as it ships.
Do designer-direct items qualify for free shipping?
Designer-direct items are excluded from Red Bird Road's $99 free shipping offer. Shipping rates for these items are determined by the participating designer and will be displayed at checkout.
How do I return an item shipped directly from a designer?
Start your return with Red Bird Road just like you would for any other purchase. We'll provide the correct return instructions and, when applicable, a prepaid return label. Because designer-direct items may need to be returned directly to the designer, please don't mail your return until you receive instructions from us.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and will be deducted from your refund when a prepaid return label is provided. Our standard return eligibility requirements apply.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you ordered. Eligible items may be returned in for store credit in accordance with our current Return Policy as long as they meet the return requirements.
Please visit our Returns & Exchanges page for the complete policy, including the return window, item-condition requirements, exclusions and instructions for starting a return.
Items marked Final Sale are not eligible for return or exchange. Any additional exclusions will be clearly identified on the product page or in our Return Policy.
Please contact us within 3 days of delivery, by email at admin@redbirdrd.com.
You will need to provide your order number, name, and photos of the item and packaging.
If something went wrong with your order, we'll work with you to make it right.
Once an eligible return is received and inspected, approved returns are issued to store credit. You must be logged into your customer account to use your store credit.
Jewelry & Materials
Because we curate jewelry from a variety of independent designers, materials vary by piece. Our collections include solid gold, gold vermeil, gold-filled, sterling silver, titanium, gold-plated finishes, natural gemstones and more. You'll find the exact materials, stones and measurements listed on each product page.
Many of our pieces are made with materials commonly chosen for sensitive skin, including titanium, sterling silver and solid gold. Because materials vary by designer and individual sensitivities differ, we recommend checking the materials listed on each product page- especially if you have a known metal allergy.
It depends on the piece. Jewelry specifically described as waterproof is designed for greater exposure to water, while gold vermeil, plated jewelry, pearls and certain gemstones should generally be kept away from water, chlorine and salt water to preserve their finish and beauty.
We recommend preventing exposure to all chemicals to preserve the life of your jewelry.
Check the individual product description for material-specific recommendations.
How a piece ages depends on its materials and how it is worn.
Sterling silver may naturally develop a patina, while plated and vermeil finishes can gradually show wear over time.
Keeping jewelry dry and away from perfumes, lotions and harsh chemicals will help preserve its finish.
Sterling Silver can often be restored using a sterling silver specific jewelry cloth.
We recommend putting jewelry on after lotions, perfumes and beauty products have dried and removing delicate pieces before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. After wearing, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth and store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Always follow any specific care instructions included on the product page.
Many of our collections feature natural gemstones, including opals, moonstones, malachite, turquoise and other beautiful stones. High quality synthetic and lab grown stones may also be used.
Materials vary by design, so each product page will identify the stones used in that particular piece.
That's part of what makes natural gemstones so beautiful. Color, pattern, inclusions and other characteristics can vary naturally from stone to stone. These variations aren't considered flaws- they make your piece uniquely yours.
Solid Gold is gold throughout rather than a layer of gold applied over another metal.
Gold Vermeil features a substantial layer of gold over sterling silver.
Gold-Filled jewelry has a mechanically bonded layer of gold over a base metal and generally contains significantly more gold than conventional gold-plated jewelry.
Gold-Plated jewelry features a layer of gold applied over another metal.
You'll find the exact material used for every piece in its product description.
Independent Designers
We believe the most interesting jewelry isn't always the jewelry everyone else is wearing.
Rather than offering endless mass-produced styles, Red Bird Road thoughtfully curates jewelry from independent designers alongside authentic upcycled luxury and limited-edition finds. We look for beautiful materials, quality craftsmanship and pieces that feel special while still being wearable in real life.
Our jewelry comes from a curated collection of independent designers and makers, so the origin and production process vary by piece. The majority of the pieces we source, are designed in the United States.
When a designer provides specific sourcing, production or certification information, you'll find those details on the product or designer page.
No. Red Bird Road is a curated jewelry boutique. We seek out independent designers and distinctive pieces that meet our standards for design, materials and craftsmanship, then bring our favorites together in one thoughtfully edited collection.
Yes. Many of our independent designer and upcycled pieces are produced in small batches or available only in limited quantities. If you fall in love with something, we can't always promise we'll be able to restock it.
Upcycled Designer
Our upcycled designer collection gives authentic, previously owned designer materials and components a new life. Independent artisans transform these materials into entirely new jewelry and accessories, creating unique pieces while extending the life of luxury materials that already exist.
All upcycled designer pieces we carry are sourced from independent artisans who represent that the designer materials and components used in their creations are authentic.
The artisans are responsible for sourcing and authenticating those materials. Red Bird Road does not independently authenticate the materials and relies on the representations and authentication processes of the artisans we work with.
Because these materials come from previously owned luxury goods, subtle signs of their previous life—including variations, markings or patina—may be present and are part of what makes each piece unique.
No. Upcycled pieces are independently designed and created and are not manufactured, sponsored, endorsed or authorized by the original luxury brands. Any trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
No. You're purchasing a newly created, independently designed piece that incorporates repurposed materials or components from previously owned designer goods.
That's part of the story.
Many of the designer materials used in our upcycled collection have lived a previous life. Minor variations, markings, patina or signs of prior wear may be present and are not necessarily defects. We believe these characteristics are part of what makes upcycled luxury so special- no two pieces have exactly the same history.
We make every effort to accurately represent the condition of each piece in its photographs and description.
Many are one-of-a-kind or produced in extremely limited quantities. Availability depends entirely on the designer materials that can be sourced, so once a piece sells out, we may not be able to restock it.
Upcycling gives existing luxury materials a second life rather than allowing beautiful materials to go unused. It also creates something much more individual: a newly designed piece with a history, character and look all its own.
Gifting
We believe jewelry should feel special from the moment it's opened. Red Bird Road orders are thoughtfully packaged and ready to make someone's day-whether you're gifting someone you love or treating yourself.
Absolutely. Simply enter the recipient's address as the shipping address during checkout.
Start with the pieces she already reaches for. Does she wear mostly gold or silver? Delicate jewelry or statement pieces? Colorful gemstones or timeless classics?
